Gratitude Practice 2020 Day 123: The Girl is Five
Gratitude Practice 2020 Day 123: The girl is five.
What a day! Grateful for the last five adventure filled years parenting our Sarah Kate. Birthdays are big for little people and we could not be more grateful for how this one turned out.
Grateful for an at home celebration filled day crammed with nothing but giggles and wonder and fun from sun up to sun down.
Grateful for her growing sense of curiosity about all things science, for her determination to ride (the new bike) with the big kids, for her forever love of water and squirt guns and water fights, for her love of cooking & baking videos and her developing cake decorating skills (yikes) and for her ability to rock a fuzzy purple unicorn bathrobe like nobody’s business.
Grateful for our village...for our generous neighbors and kind friends, for the patience and creativity of teachers, for the faithful cousins and lifelong playmates, for the supportive aunties and the uncles, for the grandmas and the grandpas and for our courageous birth mom. Forever grateful for the participation and partnership and patience of our tribe as we circle around this spunky little soul. These people prop us up, illuminate the path, remind us why, provide respite, give support and make everything fun.
Grateful for five years of growth and growing and the incredible adventure it is to be her parent.
