Gratitude Practice 2020 Day 114: Birth Mom Day

With Mother's Day tomorrow, today is known as Birthmother's Day and is dedicated to celebrating the brave women who help create families through the gift of adoption. There is not a day that goes by that we don’t think of our brave birth mom and send gratitude and thanksgiving up to heaven and to the entire universe. Endlessly grateful for her courage and for her hope for both her future and for our Sarah Kate. There is nothing simple or easy about adoption and through this complicated compassion adventure all parties are stretched to develop and love and learn together. It's equal parts beautiful and hard which makes it the best kind of growth experience.

Next week, we will meet together around a cake and five glowing candles to celebrate the magic that is our sweet and sassy Sarah Kate. Nothing brings more joy and there is nothing we are more grateful for than to be her parents. God bless all of the brave, bright and beautiful birth moms...may you feel loved and appreciated and seen and known as you are in our hearts forever!
