Gratitude Practice 2020 Day 154: Good Men

Grateful for the good men in my life and in the world... for my good to the core neighbors, my creative and dedicated male co-workers, colleagues and for the dude teammates who fill gaps for so so many kids who need to see and know good men in real life.

Grateful my brothers and brothers-in-law. I am grateful for our shared DNA, perspective, inside jokes and simply for the banked time together.

Grateful for my dad, for Burke's dad and my grandpa's who protected and provided and sacrificed and supported.

And mostly grateful for Burke Rich. He is my heart and my home and Sarah Kate won the Daddy lottery. You know you've got a good one when he plays with your kid so you can nap...and on Fathers day. He digs deep and pushes through. I love you and I like you.

These good men lift, reach, support, defend and encourage. Not perfectly because that is not reality but consistently enough to really make a difference. Hoping these good men feel celebrated and loved and not just on the made up Hallmark holidays. And for those who find this day tricky...hang in there, deep breaths and tomorrow is not too far away.
