Gratitude Practice 2020 Day 181: Lasagna Sundays

Grateful for "Easy Like Sunday Morning"... mornings. Slowed down simple mornings for book reading and snuggles on the back yard patio. When bed head hair and jammies are the celebrated dress code and where breakfast is lazily enjoyed over the stretch of an hour and several pages...maybe even chapters if you are lucky. For mornings when time and space are strategically suspended because... you've got no where to be and nothing critical needs to be accomplished....these are the mornings to savor.

Grateful for a hearty cheesy delicious pan of lasagna... zucchini lasagna, of course... because as SK says, "We are farmers now." It's the layers. It's the three separate complimentary components...the sauce, the cheese, and the veg. It's not only pretty to look at..it's just so tasty to eat...and so good for you.

Grateful for the time to connect with family and kindreds and friends. I love love love our people.

Grateful for the indulgence of a long and lazy late Sunday afternoon nap. I'm convinced the best sleep of the week is always clocked on Sunday afternoons.

Grateful for the slow and for the simple Sundays as they help book mark and catalog time and space. Feeling grateful and prepared for another five days in adventure that is real life. Grateful that this week will be underscored with a fridge full of savory leftovers that will happily carry us through.
