Gratitude Practice 2020 Day 239: Good Night Bountiful Garden

We put the garden to bed tonight. It a task that many loath and one the I actually enjoy and look forward to. For me this process seems like some kind of sacred closure. A final task. A reckoning of the growth process. Tonight, I was deep in reflection as we clipped and pulled and trimmed all I have is gratitude for the lush leafs and stems and blossoms. This task takes a few dedicated evenings and our garbage can is loaded to the brim. Grateful for the process of planting and watering and harvesting. Grateful for too many vegetables for a family of three to actually eat. Grateful for four round lush plump pumpkins. Grateful for week after week after week of Zucchini.
