Gratitude Practice 2020 Day 197: Tracy Aviary Play Dates

Took Sarah Kate and Ellen to the Tracy Aviary today and we explored this beautiful place for a few sun filled hours. Felt great to be outside. Felt great to take my kid and her bestie out for an adventure. Felt great to move my body in the hot August weather. Felt great to spend an afternoon doing the Mom thing. Grateful for the ability I have to help my kid have these kinds of opportunities. It's this kind of simply quality time that really does my heart good. I have ZERO memories of my mom doing these kinds of activities. This simple free time was just not part of my growing up. I am determined and grateful that I have the ways and means to provide these types of memories for my girl. Never sure what is really sticking and I’m thinking that is just a big part of the parenting adventure. What I do hope is that if we incorporate enough by way of frequency that over time something positive will take hold. Grateful for a day focused on a little wholesome family recreation.
