Gratitude Practice 2020 Day 3: Sarah Kate Goes Skiing

Today, I am grateful for the means and the opportunity to send my little firecracker to ski lessons. She was out of her mind excited this morning about this new first and was literally jumping out of her thermals underwear with anticipation. After we secured the multiple layers of insulation my little stay puff baby girl happily boarded the bus with the confidence of an Olympic gold medalist. Success!

I am grateful for the skill, patience and absolute courage demonstrated by our dynamite pre-school teaching team. As a professional kid wrangler myself, the idea of taking a school bus full of toddlers dressed head to toe in outdoor wear up a snowy canyon to go skiing… instantly gives me hives....yikes and thank you!

I am grateful for the kindness of Ben & Sue Rich, lifelong skiers and winter sports enthusiasts, who walked us through the gear requirements for this silly outdoor adventure.

I am forever grateful for SK's built in bestie, cousin and lifelong partner in crime, Ellen. These two could not be more different and yet perfectly made for each other. My mama heart explodes knowing they will forever walk hand in hand through lots of life adventures...all the while laughing, giggling, squabbling and cheering each other on. Our girl may never have a sibling but knowing she has Ellen by her side and other loving and adventurous cousins and buddies does my heart good.
