Gratitude Practice 2020 Day 93: The Potential of Spring that is my backyard

It's 6:11pm on a Tuesday and the work day has ended. The girl and I have finally moved outside for some fresh air and much needed rejuvenation. Today was not bad....it just was. Now I sit in my favorite outdoor chair letting the bright warm sun wash all over my daily comfortable lounge wear combo. A gentle breeze strong enough to keep it interesting move back and forth. Birds from one neighboring yard carefully update the birds in another neighboring yard about the days events...and wow, this must be some very juicy news. A distant lawn mower humming somewhere nearby. Two... nope make that three happy dogs yelp and sing and bark. An excited motorcycle zooms past and my happy kid is busy trying to make the blossoms from our pink tree first float down and then stick to her. "Mom, can you please make me a shirt covered in tape?"

Grateful for all of these simple things. Grateful for this tiny patch of earth that provides both solace and santiuary. Grateful for all of the buds and blossoms and tiny flowers that continue to communicate all will be well and we've got nothing but potential in the works.
