Gratitude Practice 2020 Day 177: End of the week celebrations

Grateful for our Friday Family Flicks Nights...this week, the main feature is Treasure Planet. Not sure how I missed this one up until now and overall I'm super impressed.

Grateful for jelly beans and chocolate covered cinnamon bears...because sugar and chocolate covered sugar...make all things better.

Grateful for cool summer nights with ample space to chill. Grateful my team has successfully survived three week of Covid Camp, as I've lovingly decided to call it. Really grateful that jam packed work weeks eventually end. Grateful for three weeks of healthy happy kiddos and staff. So many masks. So many Clorox wipes. So many bottles of multi-purpose cleaners. And so so so many Otter Pops gratuitously distributed and consumed by everyone who walks through the door. Never been more grateful to reach the halfway mark of a summer program. Holding my breath each night until I get the "all clear" text from my team has knocked me out. Grateful for the determination and teamwork and professionalism and creativity and courage and mostly for the growing resilience of our team. Nothing in education (and really in any industry) is easy these days and I'm beyond grateful for the grown ups on our team.

Really really grateful for weekends, for the change of pace, for the determined absence of zoom calls and for the extra time to catch my breath, refill the well and love on my little family.
