Gratitude Practice 2020 Day 162: The little things

Grateful for an end of the day porch sit...for our crimson Chinese Maple tree, for the hope that is our neighbors fruitful apricot tree, for the mountains that always seem to anchor the sky and for the steady stream of 90's rock ballads that someone nearby is cranking... Aerosmith's Big Ones...for life.

Grateful for salty sweet potato fries, big juicy raspberries and blueberries swimming in tangy Greek yogurt, for watermelon, for crusty french bread with full fat butter and brownie brittle, one of Costco's finest items.

Grateful for high pony tail and no makeup day and for my latest hot pink glittery manicure generously and skillfully done by SK herself. Should you be curious the color is Flamingo Pink from the Crayola line and...it...is…. perfection.

Grateful for our sweet neighbors and their two little boys and how our street is instantly filled with happy laughter and endless imagination once the bikes and scooters and today the remote control cars come out. These little friendships are so tender and help end the day with a happy final energy burn.

Grateful for the little things, individually and in combination, that somehow seem to even out all the feels like it's swallowing me whole big things.
