Gratitude Practice 2020 Day 161: Ijeoma Oiuo's book So You Want To Talk About Race
This New York Times bestseller is the next compelling read in my personal study. Powerfully written first hand accounts backed up with research and story. Very thought provoking and chuck full of insights about common statements, behaviors and perspectives held by the white majority about people of color. Lots to consider about how I've behaved in a wide variety of settings and this book provides even more helpful strategies about how I can show up differently in the future.
Grateful for the clear, direct, no-nonsense approach and for how the ground beneath me is beginning to shift. It's time to be and behave better...it's actually well past time. Always grateful for new information and new perspectives. This book is a good one for sure and a helpful compliment to White Fragility. Grateful for and hopeful about the possibility of personal development and seismic change
