Gratitude Practice 2020 Day 275: Sunsets

Firm believer, that sunsets occur every 24 hours because human beings need to be reminded FREQUENTLY that all things will eventually...end. I’ve needed this powerful reminder today. Projects... eventually end. Work weeks...eventually end. Elections and pandemics...eventually end, right?….and if reason exists...even delicious pots of soup, blushing bouquets of flowers, good books, swooning symphonies and thick yummy chocolate brownies will eventually come to an end too. You can’t expect one without the other. Grateful for this sacred cycle of start and stop and learning everyday how to be more grateful for the messy middle. Grateful for somethings to end more than others. Grateful, especially today, for this kind and gentle reminder most specifically taught through a setting sun that tomorrow the sun will rise and most things are graced with daily new beginnings, courageous do overs, and well informed second attempts. Super grateful that each day is really only limited to twenty-four hours...because the idea of twenty-six or thirty-six or fifty-six hour long days really puts me over the edge. Grateful for this sacred process of start and stop. Really ready for today’s determined stop and even more ready for tomorrow's gentle beginning to arrive.
