Gratitude Practice 2020 Day 36: The Power of the Unexpected

You know you married a good one when he walks in the door with flowers and chocolate when you simply asked him to stop for a quick (non-flower and non-chocolate) item on his way home. Delighted and surprised by this totally not expected kindness. Flowers always make a girl happy and chocolate is evidence that a loving God knows and loves us. Marriage is hard and holy all at the same time and I'm forever grateful for mine. Burke Rich...I love you AND I like you. Not just because of your kind surprise but for all of the in-betweens and the ups and the downs and even when things seems to go a bit sideways. You are a good one and I feel smart everyday about my choice. Thank you for loving me and for loving us.
