Gratitude Practice 2020 Day 65: A Hope Restoring Kite Flying Morning

Grateful for a bright and sunny gently breezy home centered church supported social distance practicing kite flying little girl squealing much needed heart restoring Sunday morning.

Grateful for a bright blue sky full of puffy white billowing clouds.

Grateful for her high curly pony, pink sparkly vans, well loved U of U hoody, fierce pink sunnies and the sassy confidence and big emotions of our fearless little SK.

Grateful for the value of a priceless five dollar Frozen 2 Elsa kite and all of the excited delight it is providing.

Grateful for our quiet little private lane nestled inside an ever chaotic world where our little girl is freely, safely, confidently and frequently experiencing so many firsts.

Grateful for wifi and laptop and conference calls and video chats and email and text messages that allow so much productive and connectivity and communication bouncing back and forth while our little family hunkers down and bunkers in.

Grateful for the decision to sign off all tech platforms, walk outside, connect with my little family and feel the warm sun nourishing way more than my pasty pale face but successfully fills up my weary concerned soul.

Grateful for our first bright yellow blooming daffodils that are courageously making their way into this somewhat sketchy world.

Grateful for my little family and for the way we are figuring out the messy middles.

Grateful for time and stillness and for this unwanted unplanned disruption to our routine and for what it is forcing us to consider, change, correct and connect.

Grateful for the big juicy gulps of sometime delicious but mostly wincey lemonade that just continues to drench us (weather we like it or not) inside this global pile of really crappy lemons.
